Baby's first christmas!

Are you stuck for idea on what to buy the new little bundle of joy in your family on their first Christmas? It can be hard knowing what to buy a little newborn because their not really all that active in the first few months, but here's a few ideas to help their development and have fun!

One of my personal favorites, something that i might just have to buy my little one when he arrives! Gorgeously soft with silky fabric ties that enable you to attach the toy to either the pram, car seat handle, cot or play pen. Simply pull down Peter Rabbit to hear 'Brahms Lullaby'.  Helps the development of auditory and awareness skills. 0 months +.

A beautiful soft panda blanket is the perfect comforter for any little one! Has knotted corners great for grasping hold of and chewing when teething time comes! 0 months +.

This cute little pirate rag doll with a rattle inside is a lovely little toy for baby to hold onto, and discover that by shaking it, it rattles. Suitable 0 months +.

Another lovely rattle for mummy's little soldier! Suitable 0 months +.

The soft plastic loops on this toy are perfect for little fingers to hold onto and if chewed on will give some relief when teething. Inside the cube in the center of the winkle is a rattle. Suitable from 0 months +.

A classic winkle loop with a cute little owl face can be stored in fridge and be used as a soothing teething toy, again the colourful loops are easy for baby to grasp and the owl has a rattle inside. Suitable for 0 months +.

Last but not least the Pull melody monkey. Has a clear plastic ring rattle on the end of its tail, a crinkle effect material on his belly and when arm is pulled he plays Brahms lullaby. Can also be attached to car seats, cots and prams. Suitable 3 months +.

Toyday is back on eBay!

Toyday originally started as a shop on eBay back in 2003 as Adam and Emily's little side project.  Stock was stored and packed from the comfort of their spare room,  but demand for Toyday's great traditional and classic toys increased and so Looe shop was opened and www.toyday.co.uk was launched!

A couple of years later Totnes shop opened, which offered a slightly bigger sized shop floor, but also a stock room downstairs where orders could be packed easily (when .  However, demand on eBay decreased slightly and it seemed to be more of a second hand zone so Toyday decided to focus on improving their own website sales.

Over the last year or so eBay seem to have relaunched themselves, where you can find almost anything you're looking for old and new, so naturally Toyday wanted to be part of this, especially before Christmas. Thus, a decade later, Toyday is back on eBay!

As with the Toyday website, the eBay shop offers a flat rate of £2.95 postage and packaging - so if you see a variety of priced and sized toys you'd like to purchase, there is no need to worry about a hefty postage and packaging charge being added when you checkout!

As many of you may know, with  eBay there comes seller fees, so make sure you check out Toyday too, as we can offer better bargains there.

It's just two weeks until Christmas, but don't panic, there is still time to purchase your gifts via eBay or Toyday so bookmark them now!

Christmas Advent Calendars

We are now in the count down to christmas and with less then 20 days left we have all opened a few door on our christmas advent calendars. Many children now have doors to open, the more traditional calendars however looked a little different and could have a range of different surprises in them. These surprises could have been anything to a little present, different sweets or even money. Not many children have these calendars but here at Toyday we embrace the traditional and old fashioned.
